Ifor Williams Trailers’ Flagship Welding Training and Recruitment Day comes to TÅ· Pawb

Europe’s largest trailer manufacturer, Ifor Williams Trailers, has joined forces with leading commercial training company, Gatewen Training Services, to launch a flagship welding training and recruitment programme for jobseekers interested in a career in engineering.
In response to increasing customer demand, Ifor Williams Trailers is expanding its workforce and has vacancies for 20 welders. Jobseekers of all ages are invited to the Training and Recruitment Day at TÅ· Pawb in central Wrexham on Thursday 23rd August where they can apply for a position on the company’s new training programme, which is being run by Gatewen Training Services.
Gatewen Training Services, the region’s leading commercial training provider and an associate company of gap Personnel, will deliver a three-week welding training programme in a bespoke workshop at Ifor Williams Trailers’ Corwen site. On successful completion of the course, qualified candidates will be interviewed at one of the company’s regional manufacturing facilities, which include Corwen, Ruthin, Deeside and Sandycroft.
Now in its 60th year, Ifor Williams Trailers has become an iconic Welsh brand with distribution sites located worldwide, including Australia, Russia, Japan, Africa and the West Indies. The manufacturer employs over 500 people across its four sites. Last year, it opened a £5million state-of-the-art production facility in Sandycroft to accommodate its continued growth.
The Welding Training and Recruitment Day will take place from 10am on Thursday 23rd August in the newly opened arts centre, TÅ· Pawb, in Central Wrexham. Gatewen Training Services and Ifor Williams Trailers will be joined by representatives from Glyndwr University, Careers Wales, GAP Personnel, Job Centre Plus and GrÅµp Llandrillo Menai. Commenting on the launch of this flagship programme, Julian Hughes, Managing Director of Gatewen Training Services, said:
